Welcome to the Department of Psychology at Georgia Southern University

The Psychology Department at Georgia Southern University consists of 15 full-time faculty members, nearly 500 undergraduate majors, and 20 graduate students. The Department houses laboratories and equipment for research in the areas of animal learning, sensation and perception, cognition, physiological psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, psychology of religion, and clinical psychology. The Regents Center for Learning Disorders is also part of the Psychology Department. The Psychology Department seeks to hire four additional faculty in clinical and experimental psychology.

 

Psy StudentsOur students are actively involved in research, presenting their work at the Georgia Psychological Society and other conferences. Congratulations to Blakely, Synovia, Courtney, Jodi, Erika and Rhyan (above) for their good work at GPS!
